Distance
learning is for many an ideal means to acquire an Ayurvedic education,
irrespective of one's prior training or experience.
Ayurveda
is a complex and demanding field of study, with an extraordinarily
large amount of information to be taught and learnt. Much of Ayurveda's
basic information must be digested before the student practitioner
is capable of formulating the competency to "tie it all together."
It may seem as one commences one's studies that a large quantity
of unrelated information is bring "thrown" at the student.
This is a normal perception shared by many - perhaps most - newcomers
to this ancient science. Suffice it to say to the beginning student
of Ayurveda: the most important step that can be taken is the
first.
Mastering
Ayurveda's fundamentals in a thorough fashion and achieving a high
degree of comfort with the concepts they elaborate will make the
student's subsequent studies much more efficacious and enjoyable.
It is axiomatic that, when confronted with a complex medical situation,
the Ayurvedic practitioner will attempt to simplify the task at
hand by the application of reason based on Ayurveda's foundational
principles. It is for this reason that the first course of our program,
the Ayurvedic Foundation Level Course, is as thoroughly detailed
and in-depth as it is. Every portion of it is essential, and it
contains virtually no information that will not be put to repeated
- perhaps daily - use by the practitioner.
Distinctive
features of distance learning
When
someone completes coursework away from an actual school's physical
location or campus, it is generally called distance learning.
This is an umbrella term for many types of learning, including online
classes and classes available through mail (of both the postal and
e-mail varieties). Many distance learning programs are connected
to traditional schools, while others exist independently.
Deciding
to take an online or correspondence course or enter a training program
is a major step. Distance learning can be both exciting and rewarding
to some, while quite challenging to others. Distance learning offers
you the greatest flexibility and economy in acquiring learning,
but eliminates some of the traditional classroom benefits. Before
committing to such a program, please review these important considerations.
Distance
learning is all about flexibility. You can learn at home or at your
workplace the point is you are learning in the place that
suits you and your convenience. As well as studying where you want,
you can study when you want; that means no classes to attend, and
no term times to stick to. Whatever your circumstances may be, your
course fits in with your life not 'your life with your course.'
Learn where you want, when you want, start when you like, and work
at your own pace Full support is given to you as you progress, and
you can be a part of our online student community and manage your
studies online.
